Leña Restaurant

Leña at Richmond and Yonge will charm you with rich and vibrant food. It’s both imaginative and rooted in tradition, as the cuisine showcases the roots of South American cooking, combined with a fusion of Spanish and Italian influences.

The food, the presentation, and the lively atmosphere have been maintained over the years, but also preserves the original architecture. For anyone with a design background, you will be instantly captivated. The etched stained glass, oxidized copper cornices and grand staircases are all original with the finest finishes and craftsmanship. However, newer features have been added, including an octagonal bar on the main floor, quirky patters, luxe velvet booths, and rich leather upholstery.

Along with the stylish design and warm character, Leña is named after the executive chef Anthony Walsh’s mother in-law Elena. The menu draws inspiration from her South American family recipes which is carried forward by chef Julie Marteleira. Overall, Leña celebrates an authentic and flavourful experience, and it is a restaurant I would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy with a client, family, or friends.
