The Junction Area in Toronto

Toronto never ceases to amaze me as a place where things are happening. A Thanksgiving weekend stroll in the Junction district in the west end of town provided a window shopping bonanza of interesting shops, neat little restaurants and my favorites furniture stores for both modern and antique items.

High on the list is Mjölk ( Scandinavian for Milk). Interesting furniture and objects from Scandinavia and Japan.  Everything is beautifully presented and of high quality craftsmanship and design. I was especially captivated by the installation in the window that captured an entire landscape using varied elements and scales, from a Japanese furniture box, old wooden board and tiny model house surrounded by grasses. It is an exhibit called Iwata/Iwata on now until Oct 13. You can click on the link to check out their website - https://www.mjolk.ca.

Then further down the street was "The Hole in the Wall" I didn't know about it before but a charming fun spot for brunch or lunch on a weekend.
